Ajbwc Discusses Cooperation With A Thai Delegation

The Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) received a delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand, to discuss cooperation opportunities, enhance common partnership, exchange experiences, and shed light on the best practices that support the field of entrepreneurship. Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the AJBWC, received the Thai delegation at the Ajman Center for Entrepreneurship of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation was headed by Thuanthong Krutchon, Director of Research and Marketing Projects at Thaksin University. The meeting was attended by Mona Saqr Al Matrooshi, Director-General of Ajman Cultural Social Development Association, member of the AJBWC's Board of Directors, and Dr. Nora Sultan Al Marzooqi, member of the AJBWC's Board of Directors. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Amna Khalifa welcomed the attendees and confirmed that the AJBWC is keen to establish new partnerships and enhance its direct communication with various parties from inside and outside the UAE, noting the importance of the forum and its role in identifying the best programs and practices in both Ajman and Thailand, especially those concerned with male and female entrepreneurs. Dr. Nora Sultan Al-Marzooqi presented an overview of the most important initiatives and projects launched by the AJBWC, including the "My Car" initiative, which provides a car financing service under the benevolent loan system; the "Ryouqi" (My Breakfast) initiative, which links the owners of beverages and food projects with employees of government and private entities through a platform for selling products “Al Ryouq”; the “Rufof” initiative to open marketing channels for the products of the AJBWC members and those who have a Bidayat license at approved points of sale; and “Emirati Jamila” initiative to link female entrepreneurs with the tourism sector; in addition to organizing events to market the products of businesswomen in cooperation with the authorities concerned with the tourism sector, and the “plant and Harvest” initiative to provide tools and capabilities to move towards agricultural investment; and the “Point of Sale” initiative to provide a cashier service for the projects participating in the permanent exhibition at the Ajman Center for Entrepreneurship. The presentation also discussed the Bidayat license and types of AJBWC membership (Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Honorary). Dr. Nora Al-Marzooqi showed the Council’s training plan, which includes courses and workshops for the year 2022, with a view to supporting and empowering AJBWC members and female business owners with tools and means to ensure the growth and sustainability of their businesses, in addition to organizing a number of forums and exhibitions and discussing opportunities to diversify partnerships with all government and private entities. For his part, Thuanthong Krutchon, Head of the Thai delegation, presented an overview of Thaksin University and the most prominent academic disciplines available at the University. He also stressed the importance of the forum and its role in learning about best practices in the field of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The City University College of Ajman (CUCA) participated in the meeting, introduced an overview of its academic disciplines and programs, and discussed cooperation opportunities, exchange of experiences, and common partnership with Thaksin University. The meeting was concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between the Ajman Business Women Council and Thaksin University.
