Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) and a Board member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), revealed that the “Live it Healthy” program within the Sports Platform initiative received more than 60 applications to join the program, and 39 female registrants who met the conditions for joining the program were accepted. It was launched by the AJBWC in cooperation with the Citizens Affairs Office - in Ajman, and in a strategic partnership with Thumbay Hospital University and the Body & Soul Health Club. Dr. Amna Khalifa emphasized the importance of the sports platform initiative and its role in improving and achieving quality of life by adopting and spreading healthy lifestyles, providing the possible means for that matter, and encouraging the spread of healthy culture within the family and across society. "The initiative aims to provide various programs and activities in the field of public health for women in order to achieve the council's vision to advance the role of women, empower and motivate them to become partners in the development process, in addition to providing an opportunity to enhance women's participation in local, regional, and international health and sports events," she added. This initiative aims to spread the culture of maintaining public health and the sustainability of women’s physical and psychological health, raise awareness of the importance of making sports a lifestyle, and pave the way to support healthy food entrepreneurs who have Bidayat licenses. It also aims to build effective community partnerships in the field of health and sports. In view of the "Live it Healthy" program, Dr. Khalifa stated that the 6-month program provides a number of training and awareness activities, including "medical examinations for all female affiliates, providing advice from a nutritionist, designing a nutritional program, as well as developing a plan for exercise and interactive classes with one of the selected clubs, offering lifestyle management courses, misconceptions and common misconceptions about weight loss, and providing coupons and discounts on healthy meals in support of the participants in the program.” She also confirmed that the Ajman Businesswomen Council is keen to update and launch qualitative initiatives that keep pace with the aspirations of its members, who have obtained Bidayat licenses, to support women's economic activities and strengthen businesswomen's relations with government and private agencies of the council's partners, praising the diversity of partnerships adopted by the Council to provide value-added services to women, in general, and to businesswomen and entrepreneurs in particular.
