Ajbwc Shares The "Sports Platform" Initiative With Government Agencies

Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) and Board member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), confirmed that AJBWC is keen to diversify its economic and community initiatives and programs in support of women and contribute to improving the quality of life. She delivered this statement during the joint meeting held at the Ajman Center for Entrepreneurship, in the presence of members of the AJBWC Board of Directors and coordinators of government agencies in Ajman, to launch the second phase of the "Live it Healthy" program within the "Sports Platform" initiative, which is implemented by AJBWC in cooperation with the Citizens Affairs Office in Ajman, and in strategic partnership with Thumbay University Hospital and Body & Soul Health Club. The Meeting briefed the attending representatives of government agencies on the "Sports Platform" initiative and the mechanisms for circulating the initiative outputs to female employees of government agencies, with the aim of providing a sustainable healthy environment that supports spreading the culture of preserving public health and the sustainability of physical and psychological health and raising awareness of the importance of exercising and adopting healthy foods. The Initiative aims at adopting and spreading healthy lifestyles and encouraging the spread of healthy culture among female employees and among the family and society members. The Meeting also aimed to provide an opportunity for female employees of government agencies in Ajman to join the "Live it Healthy" program in its second phase to benefit from the range of available services, including a wide range of specialized health and sports courses and workshops delivered by experts and relevant professionals, as well as making medical examinations for all female employees and giving advice by a specialized nutritionist, and developing a nutritional program with an exercise schedule". Dr. Amna Khalifa praised the partnership and cooperation between AJBWC and government agencies in Ajman, explaining that AJBWC is constantly seeking to diversify its partnerships with all government and private agencies to enhance its efforts in advancing the role of women, empowering them, and motivating them to become partners in the sustainable development process. She stated that AJBWC aims to diversify its initiatives and projects with a view to supporting women's capabilities and overcoming the difficulties they may face in commercial, industrial and service businesses.
