Ajbwc's Delegation Participates In The “Fifth Gulf Business Women Forum In Jeddah”

A delegation from the Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC) participated in the “Fifth Gulf Business Women Forum” and its accompanying exhibition under the theme "Gulf Women: Between Empowerment and Leadership" with the wide participation of female business owners, experts, and government officials from the GCC and Arab countries, organized by the Federation of GCC Chambers, the Council of Saudi Chambers and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI). The AJBWC's delegation was headed by Dr. Amna Khalifa, Chairwoman of the AJBWC and Board member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). The Delegation included Mona Saqr Al Matrooshi, Wafa Hassan Al Shamsi, Dr. Nora Al Marzooqi, Board members of the AJBWC, and Abeer Eid Al Faraj, Director of the AJBWC's Office. Dr. Amna Khalifa stressed the importance of the Forum hosted by the Jeddah Chamber, and its role in enhancing the contribution of business women to the chambers of commerce and industry, and highlighted the achievements of female business owners and the extent of their contribution to increasing the GDP of the GCC countries. The Forum is also a main platform for exchanging ideas and proposals in support of increasing the capabilities that support Gulf business women, in addition to linking innovation with projects of business women and promoting entrepreneurship. AJBWC presented a working paper entitled "Women Personalities in the World of Business and Finance" by Dr. Amna Khalifa. The working paper discussed a set of valuable and exceptional experiences of female entrepreneurs, the importance of stimulating and encouraging beginners and those wishing to enter the field of private projects, and the role and diversity of innovative initiatives in developing and growing the projects of women entrepreneurs and turning their ideas into successful projects. The Forum concluded with a number of recommendations, including "the importance of launching specific initiatives aimed at strengthening the role and status of Gulf business women, calling on the Federation of GCC Chambers to establish a permanent committee for Gulf business women's forums, and promoting the establishment of specialized centers to integrate digital and modern technologies in the work of business women and introduce such service as part of their package of services, promoting the establishment of funds directed to invest in business women's projects, and establishing a Gulf network for business women in the GCC countries. AJBWC's delegation met with H.E. Nasser Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Consul General of UAE in Jeddah, and also discussed with Amani Bukhamseen, Secretary-General in charge of the Federation of Gulf Chambers, ways of joint cooperation. AJBWC's delegation discussed with H.E. Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JCCI ways to enhance cooperation and opportunities for exchanging visits to benefit from initiatives and services in the field of entrepreneurship, especially for women entrepreneurs, and opportunities to participate in events and exhibitions organized by both parties.
