Ajbwc Organizes A Discussion Session Entitled "Women And Business Sustainability"

The discussion session organized by the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) recommended the importance of launching quality initiatives and services to encourage and motivate women to develop commercial activities and start new projects, and the need for research and studies on the best projects that are compatible with the requirements of society, especially health and sports. It also called for intensifying specialized courses and workshops in the field of developing entrepreneurship, increasing partnerships between government and private entities concerned with entrepreneurship, and supporting women's economic and commercial activities. The session discussed the importance of the role of the family, school, and university in educating children and students to move towards establishing private projects in the future. This came during the discussion session within the Ramadan Ajman Activities, entitled "Women and Business Sustainability" under the slogan of "Foreseeing the Future", at Al Raqaib Majlis, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the AJBWC and Board member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), H.E. Mariam Khalifa Al Nuaimi, ACCI board member, and H.E. Aisha Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the AJBWC, in addition AJBWC board members, a group of officials and representatives of government departments and agencies, entrepreneurship experts, female project owners, and those looking to implement new pioneering projects. The discussion session included three main entrepreneurship themes: “Social Responsibility, Health, and Sports", with participation of Dr. Salama Mohamed Rahoumi, Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Sharjah, Dr. Aisha Al Qatami, Consultant Dermatologist, Laser and Skin Diseases, and Dr. Huda Al Matroushi, Chairman of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation. The discussion was moderated by Salem Hassan Al Ghafri, Entrepreneurship Consultant. At the outset of the discussion session, Dr. Amna Khalifa welcomed the attendees and praised the supportive elements provided by the UAE for empowering women economically and commercially through the concerned authorities, including businesswomen councils and institutions specialized in developing projects for male and female entrepreneurs. She called on ladies who are about to implement new projects to think creatively and innovatively in selecting new projects and to follow modern development mechanisms for existing projects. The session had a great interaction, interventions, and questions among the participants in the session. It witnessed the participation of more than 50 participants and the interventions also included many successful examples on linking the entrepreneurship with the social responsibility, the health sector and the sports sector, in addition to monitoring many pioneering project ideas in these fields.
