Ajman Chamber And Ajbwc Organize A Celebration On The Occasion Of “Emirati Women’S Day”

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) organize a special celebration on the occasion of “Emirati Women’s Day” in cooperation with the Umm Al-Moumineen Association, as part of the UAE’s celebrations of Emirati women under the slogan “'We Collaborate for Tomorrow'”, to highlight women’s achievements and their pioneering and innovative contributions in the field of projects and private sector development, review the success stories of women entrepreneurs, and honor a group of successful and distinguished female entrepreneurs. The ceremony was held on the Ajman Saray Hotel and was attended by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Board member of the Ajman Chamber and Chairwoman of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC), Sheikha Dr. Nahla Alqassimi, Chair of Women Empowerment Council at Ajman University, and Dr. Shafiqa Al Ameri the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Women Entrepreneurs Council, H E Faieqa Hilal Jasim General Director of Fuzan Foundation for Human Development, Asma Shahdad, Executive Director of the Umm Al-Moumineen Association, and Board members of the AJBWC, the Ajman Chamber female employees, female employees and members of the Umm Al-Moumineen Association, and female entrepreneurs, members of Bidayat license and a number of officials from government agencies and institutions concerned with supporting Emirati women. The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a speech by the master of ceremony, Dr. Rasha Al Shimmari, to present the events. At the beginning of her speech, Dr. Amna Khalifa welcomed the attendees, and emphasized that the UAE's celebration of Emirati women reflects the volume of the pioneering achievements and contributions that she made for the sake of the UAE's elevation and prosperity. Dr Khalifa praised the continuous and unlimited support of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Nation), the President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood (SCMC), and the Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), to empower Emirati women and provide them with the means of success. She explained that the diversity of institutions and bodies supporting women demonstrates their position in society and embodies the approach established by the founder of the state, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may Allah rest his soul,” to empower women in all fields. She stated that the celebration of the Ajman Chamber and the AJBWC to honor a group of women with pioneering experiences, embodies the UAE’s efforts to advance the role of woman and encourage her to become partner in the development process, support her to enter the labor market, and support her initiatives, investments and projects, as well as adopt her ideas and motivate her to enter the fields of self-employment inside and outside the UAE. She explained that the AJBWC has been committed, since its establishment in 2005, to diversifying its services and initiatives and organizing activities and programs that meet the economic needs of women and overcome the difficulties that women may face in commercial, industrial and service businesses. The AJBWC also provides a sustainable umbrella for strengthening businesswomen’s relations with companies and entities and enhancing ways of cooperation between Ajman businesswomen. For her part, Sheikha Dr. Nahla Alqassimi praised the importance of the UAE’s celebrations of Emirati Women’s Day and honoring inspiring Emirati women figures in appreciation of women’s contributions and achievements in the UAE’s comprehensive development process. Dr. Alqassimi presented to the attendees an overview of the Ajman University Innovation Center (AUIC), the history of its establishment, and its role as a business incubator that provides the appropriate tools and support for male and female entrepreneurs and develops and establishes projects based on creative thought and scientific innovation, noting that the AUIC has received many international accreditations. Dr. Alqassimi added, "Since its establishment, the AUIC has been keen to support innovators, pioneers, and entrepreneurs in the UAE in general. The AUIC also enhances the role of incubating many activities that support the transformation of innovative ideas into commercial projects, in cooperation with the AUIC 's partners." Fatima Al Suwaidi, Director of the Events Department at Ajman Chamber, emphasized that the Ajman Chamber has distinguished female cadres who participate in all sectors and departments and contribute to the leadership of the Ajman Chamber and the promotion of the growth of the economic sector in general. Al Suwaidi congratulated the attendees and the Emirati women for their family, community and national role and their contributions in all sectors. The ceremony witnessed a number of success stories, including the success story of entrepreneur Fareshta Al Bastaki, owner of the Flower by Fareshta project, which manufactures natural oils and flowers, the success story of the entrepreneur Dr. Mona Al Hammadi, owner of the Mineral Energy project for natural products, the success story of the entrepreneur Aisha Al Nuaimi, owner of the Solo Boutique project, and the success story of Moza Boushehab in the field of volunteering. Dr. Amna Khalifa, Chairwoman of the AJBWC, and Fatima Al Suwaidi, Director of the Events Department at the Ajman Chamber, honored a group of female entrepreneurs who were the first to obtain a Bidayat license “Sheikha Hamad Al Ghafli, Fatima Obaid, Alrose Shaheen Al Nuaimi, Alia Johar Al Khatri, and Aisha Salem Al Shamsi.” The AJBWC granted Dr. Mona Al Hammadi an honorary council membership in recognition of her efforts and constant cooperation with the AJBWC and in appreciation of the importance of the activity she carries out and its role in serving health and beauty. On the sidelines of the ceremony, an accompanying exhibition was organized to display the products of business owners within the “Rufof” initiative. A group of proposals and services were also presented by the participating entities: “Sharjah Ladies Club, Saudi German Hospital, Damas Medical Center”, in addition, the audience participated in a workshop on making essential oils presented by Fareshta Al Bastaki, owner of the Flower by Fareshta project, for making natural oils and flowers.
