The Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) organized the “Live it Healthy” sports meeting within the Sports Platform initiative with the aim of raising health awareness and motivating women to practice sports and follow a healthy lifestyle that contributes to women’s happiness and enhances the quality of life, and to provide an umbrella that brings together the officials and coordinators of the “Live Healthy” program with female members including government female employees, business owners, and women to discuss ways to develop and improve the program during the next stage. The meeting was attended by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the AJBWC, Dr. Nora Al Marzooqi, Board member of the AJBWC and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Platform Initiative, and Mona Saqr Al Matrooshi, Board member of the AJBWC and Director General of Ajman Society of Social & Cultural Development. 30 businesswomen, employees of government agencies, and women registered in the "Live it Healthy" Program participated in the meeting at the headquarters of the Ajman Society for Social and Cultural Development, in the presence of representatives of Ajman Specialty General Hospital, Thumbay Hospital, the Emirates Health Services (EHS) - the "eEtmenan" program, The Gym Club, and the Body & Soul Club. At the beginning of the sports meeting, Dr. Amna Khalifa welcomed the attendees, and stressed that AJBWC gives special importance to the sports and health aspect within its sustainable initiatives with a view to supporting and educating its members, businesswomen in particular, and society in general, about the importance of preserving public health and enhancing awareness about the importance of integrating and practicing sports into the daily lifestyle to ensure the sustainability of the physical and psychological health of women and the family in general. She stated that the Sports Platform Initiative serves as a main base for launching various programs, activities, and services in the field of public health throughout the year and a window for participation in local, regional, and international health and sports events. This initiative is concerned with spreading the culture of maintaining health and its extension to the family and society and building effective community partnerships in the field of health and sports, in addition to supporting healthy food entrepreneurs who hold a Bidayat license, discovering innovative ideas and projects that keep pace with the trends of the sports platform. The sports meeting included a set of exercises, breathing, and relaxation exercises, in addition to a brainstorming session with female participants to exchange opinions and development proposals for the “Live it Healthy” program, in addition to an educational awareness workshop on the importance of physical fitness in enhancing functional performance and enhancing public health. For her part, Dr. Noura Al Marzooqi presented an overview of the “Live it Healthy” program and its societal role in raising health awareness, improving lifestyle, and providing female employees from government agencies, businesswomen, and housewives the opportunity to participate in the program and benefit from the program’s features, including medical examinations, nutritional and sports programs, to reach the ideal weight and improve their public health at the hands of experts and specialists from the platform’s partners from health and sports bodies. She pointed out that the "Live it Healthy" program in its first edition witnessed great interaction and participation on the part of 58 members who benefited from the program’s features. The program also contributed to changing the lifestyle of 6 members, including those who discovered health problems and began treating them during the program. The program also witnessed the organization of a group of specialized courses and workshops in lifestyle and exercise management for a happier and healthier life. At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Amna Khalifa honored a number of participants who completed the "Live it Healthy" program.
