Ajbwc Organizes A “Sustainable Free Economy” Forum

The “Sustainable Free Economy” Forum, under the slogan “Future Projects,” which was organized by the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC), recommended the necessity of diversifying social entrepreneurship initiatives, and intensifying workshops and training courses to raise awareness and educate business owners about the concept and culture of social entrepreneurship and opportunities for applying it to existing projects. The Forum advised the need to intensify cooperation between the AJBWC and government agencies, organize specialized forums to shed light on initiatives and services directed to entrepreneurs, and enhance the prospects for cooperation and partnership between the AJBWC and “Noon Mahali” to open innovative marketing channels for AJBWC members who hold a Bidayat license. The Forum activities were attended by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the AJBWC, and a number of government agency officials in Ajman, as well as male and female entrepreneurs. The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the Ajman Department of Finance, and Noon Mahali also participated in the Forum’s activities. The forum and its sessions were moderated by Iman Al Soum, a member of the AJBWC, located at the Fairmont Hotel Ajman. Dr. Khalifa confirmed that the Forum aims to educate business owners about the concept of social entrepreneurship and learn about government programs supporting national projects and the incentives and facilities available to ensure the growth and sustainability of projects. She stated that the AJBWC is keen to organize a series of forums as part of its annual plan to provide a platform for exchanging experiences and best practices in the field of entrepreneurship, building a network of relationships between project owners, stimulating creativity and innovation in developing projects, and heading towards proactive projects that are in line with the directions of the Emirate of Ajman and the UAE, in addition to providing a window for direct communication between government agency officials and business owners to discuss offering and developing services and initiatives directed at SMEs. The forum activities began with a working paper presented by Dr. Khaled Mohamad Mukalad - Small Enterprise Development Advisor, under the title Social Entrepreneurship from idea building and product launch to expansion to improve the quality of social and environmental life, promote sustainable development and provide innovative and proactive projects that serve society, and he explained to the attendees the areas of entrepreneurship, the components and projects of social entrepreneurship, and the most prominent ideas and projects in this field. Entrepreneur Bashayer Ali Alkumaiti, an institutional development expert, presented a working paper entitled “A Model of an Innovative Project,” during which she discussed the “Exposure Studio” project, where she explained the importance of innovation in building sustainable businesses, the concept of business sustainability, and business sustainability strategies based on customer management, continuous improvement, cooperation, and partnerships. and the societal role of companies and its impact on business sustainability. Alkumaiti also highlighted the idea of the “Exposure Studio” from the establishment stage to development and expansion. At the conclusion of the working paper, Alkumaiti announced the studio’s intention to launch a community initiative to serve photographing senior citizens in cooperation with the relevant authorities. The forum witnessed a dialogue session moderated by Eman Al Soum, with the participation of the ACCI, the Ajman Department of Finance, and Noon Mahali, where Ahmed Saeed, a resource system consultant in the Ajman Department of Finance, presented an overview of the “Tawreed” platform, which aims to register and renew registration for suppliers for the purpose of authorizing them to deal with government agencies in Ajman and the ability to view and participate in tenders, supplies and provision of services. The attendees were also briefed on the steps for registering on the Tawreed platform. Maryam Ahmed Al Habroush, Director of the Noon Local Department, presented an overview of the Noon Mahali platform as a program developed by Noon that aims to support local entrepreneurs to develop their businesses, enhance their expertise, and open new marketing channels for them. Al Habroush also explained the features and registration steps for project owners. Abdullah Omar Altamimi, from Smart Services Department at the Ajman Chamber, discussed the “Smart Market Researcher” service based on AI techniques, which provides a database and statistics about commercial and industrial activities in the local market for those wishing to open new projects or develop existing projects, so that the platform contributes to improving decision-making. for entrepreneurs and those planning to implement new projects, it also provides the service of collecting and analyzing economic data from sources, monitoring market expectations, and other benefits and services. At the end of the forum, Dr. Amna Khalifa honored the speakers and praised their role in presenting working papers to educate business owners about the most prominent services and initiatives that support business growth and development.
