Ajbwc Approves 8 Major Initiatives During 2024

Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC), revealed the continuity of implementing the AJBWC’s main initiatives and the development of new initiatives that align and keep pace with the AJBWC’s directions and strategic vision, within the executive plan for 2024, so that the AJBWC will implement the initiatives of “My Car, Plant and Harvest, Rufof, Ryouqi (My Breakfast), Sports Platform, Business Clinic, HUB Business Platform, ZAAM “so that the initiatives contribute directly to advancing the role of women, empowering them, motivating them to become partners in the development process, encouraging and supporting them to enter the labor market, supporting their investments and projects, adopting their ideas, and motivating them to enter the fields of self-employment. She stated that the AJBWC is adopting within its agenda for the coming year a package of specialized and supportive partnerships, forums and events to achieve the AJBWC’s objectives aimed at meeting the economic needs of women and enabling them to implement and develop commercial, industrial, service and agricultural projects, in addition to strengthening cooperation and partnership with institutions and bodies concerned with supporting the activities of women business owners and entrepreneurs. This came during the fourth AJBWC meeting for 2023, chaired by Dr. Amna Khalifa and in the presence of board members and employees of the AJBWC to review its achievements during 2023 and approve the AJBWC’s business plan for the coming year. The meeting dealt with the final report of the AJBWC during 2023, so that the total membership of the AJBWC from January 2023 to November reached 117 members. Food licenses topped the list of new and renewed licenses during the current year, followed by licenses for perfumes and tobacco, then licenses for designing, manufacturing and trading clothing The annual report of the Ajman Chamber stated that the total number of beneficiaries of the AJBWC’s initiatives during the current year and until November reached 141 businesswomen. The Rafouf initiative also, which is concerned with opening an innovative and sustainable marketing channel for the products of businesswomen from the AJBWC, through 5 sales outlets, witnessed more than 210 participations from the AJBWC’s female members over the years 2022 and 2023. The attendees were also briefed on the results of the programs and events of the Sports Platform Initiative, which witnessed a group of events, including the “Dialogue Meeting - Happy Lifestyle” and the “Live It Right” Sports Meeting, in addition to accessing the results of the Business Clinic initiative and its role in enhancing the projects and ideas of AJBWC members, it provides technical, managerial, and financial consultations to develop their businesses with the help of experts and specialists. The annual report stated that the total number of women benefiting from the AJBWC’s activities and events during 2023 reached 721 women. Throughout the current year, the AJBWC also implemented 17 specialized workshops attended and benefited by 244 participants. The AJBWC also participated in 10 major events, including the “International Women’s Summit, a celebratory event.” Women’s Empowerment Council, Swiss Tourism Day, Demo Day at Ajman University, introductory meeting for women in the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation - Ajman, Ajman Government Sports Council, The Ramadan Council of the Ministry of Interior, the Ramadan Economic Majlis, the Emirati-Iraqi Forum, and at the level of foreign visits, the AJBWC participated in a number of foreign events and visited both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The AJBWC signed 3 cooperation agreements with the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBWC), the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation (UAEMPF), and the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, (Ajman DED). Dr. Amna Khalifa stressed that the AJBWC will continue its efforts to support women, create an encouraging and stimulating climate, and guide female entrepreneurs to exploit AI tools and uses of technology in product development, marketing, and management. She praised the continued support of the wise leadership, government agencies, and institutions concerned with the activities of women and businesswomen. Dr. Khalifa also praised the efforts of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) in providing support tools to ensure the success of the initiatives and activities of the AJBWC.
