The Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC) in the presence of representatives of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council received a delegation from the Serbian Businesswomen Council at the Ajman Chamber’s premises to discuss the cooperation and to exchange experiences in support of the projects and objectives of the two sides. Led by Sandra Abramovich, the Serbian delegation was received at the Ajman Centre for Entrepreneurship by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chair of the Ajman Businesswomen Council, in the presence of Shafiqa Al Ameri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen’s Office and AJBWC’s Board of Directors’ members. Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Amna Khalifa stressed the importance of the meeting and its role in promoting the cooperation and acquainting with best practices and initiatives, as well as providing a platform for the exchange of experiences between Emirati and Serbian businesswomen in general. She also said, “The Ajman Businesswomen Council aims within its strategic plan to strengthen its local and regional cooperation with the relevant entities to achieve its objectives and meet aspirations of the members.” The meeting saw a presentation about the AJBWC highlighting its role in boosting women's economic investments and supporting their initiatives to engage in the self-employment fields inside and outside the country. The Council also carries out several programmes and projects that serve their business and establishes vital projects that meet the needs of society and support innovative female entrepreneurs. It further seeks to empower Emirati women, especially entrepreneurs through overcoming the difficulties they face in their commercial, industrial and service businesses, and offers initiatives and actions aimed at developing their economic activities. The attendees were briefed on the efforts of the AJBWC in carrying out various programmes, seminars and forums to develop skills and capabilities of businesswomen. In addition, it is keen on strengthening the cooperation and partnership with the concerned entities, organizing visits and exhibitions, and providing the necessary training its members.
