The Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre, to reinforce the cooperation and to utilize the expertise and technical capabilities of the two parties in order to achieve the strategic goals and programmes of each of them. The MoU was signed remotely by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the AJBWC, and Dr. Hajer Saeed Al Hubaishi, CEO of the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre. The MoU stipulated the exchange of statistical data and information, as well as the experiences, corporate experiences and best practices, and cooperation in conducting relevant studies and research. It also seeks to open new horizons to utilize the strategic partnerships of the two parties, and to promote and participate in activities and events of both. The two parties agreed to form a joint working group to follow up the implementation of the MoU to ensure achieving its objectives that serve the services and outputs of the AJBWC and the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre in general, and female entrepreneurs in the emirate in particular. Commenting on the MoU, Dr. Amna Khalifa stressed the role played by it in exchanging experiences and information of common interest and making use of the capabilities available to both parties. She also noted that the AJBWC aims to provide value-added services for its members based on a base of various and reliable data that keep pace with the steady growth of the projects of the members of the Council and help them make decisions. For her part, Dr. Hajer Al Hubaishi explained that Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre is keen to diversify its partnerships with government entities in the emirate of Ajman to ensure concerted efforts and to enhance the emirate’s competitiveness in various fields. She also stressed that the availability of official statistics is a basis for creativity and future foresight and a major supporter for decision-making and policy formulation in all sectors.
