Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) has organized a workshop entitled "The Importance of Protecting Your Project's Digital Data" to raise awareness about modern methods of protecting the projects' digital data and personal accounts, and how to optimally deal with cyber challenges. The workshop was held at Al Safia Majlis in Ajman, and was attended by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, the Chairwoman of AJBWC. The workshop was presented by First Lieutenant Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi of the Ajman Police General Headquarters. The workshop was also attended by representatives of government agencies, businesswomen, businessmen and interested parties. The workshop covered several key topics, including "preventive protection from cybercrimes, family protection, protecting private online conversations, and how to optimally deal with the threats of cybercrimes by individuals and companies." At the beginning of the workshop, Dr. Khalifa welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the workshop in educating and empowering businesswomen, especially in light of the growing link between women's projects and digitization and technology enablers in management, marketing, production, and development. Dr. Khalifa stated that the strength of cybersecurity reflects the strength of the economy and serves as a fundamental pillar for the development of all sectors and the attraction of investments. She commended the efforts of the UAE and relevant authorities in ensuring a secure and sustainable work environment. She further highlighted AJBWC’s commitment, in collaboration with its government and private sector partners, to organizing specialized and high-quality events aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of AJBWC members and holders of the Bidayat License, and thanked the Ajman Police General Headquarters for their awareness role in the field of cybersecurity and digital data protection. The workshop discussed the steps to protect the establishment's data and the importance of data centralization and security. It also highlighted the need for the businesspersons to be aware of the laws regulating advertising, in addition to the steps for selecting and regularly updating secure passwords, and exploiting the possibilities of artificial intelligence and keeping pace with the rapid changes witnessed by the technology sector. During the workshop, a wide range of examples were presented to raise awareness of how to protect data. Attendees also shared a set of personal experiences on how to optimally deal with ensuring data protection. Dr. Khalifa concluded by stressing that AJBWC supports its members in protecting their trademarks and products by facilitating the registration process through intellectual property protection channels. This ensures that their rights are safeguarded and preserves the uniqueness of their projects in the market.
