Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC), under the umbrella of Ajman Chamber, has organized the “Masaa’ Retreat” under the theme "From Idea to Leadership" to spotlight the AJBWC’s vision, strategic goals, and avenues for their development. The retreat introduced innovative initiatives and programs tailored to the needs of AJBWC’s businesswomen members, in alignment with the future directions of Ajman Vision 2030 and the UAE Vision. It also aimed to foster a sustainable network of relationships between businesswomen and the AJBWC’s partners from both governmental and private sectors. Held at the Police Sports and Shooting Club in Ajman, the retreat has brought together Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of AJBWC; Engineer Aisha Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairwoman; and Board Members Mona Saqr Al Matrooshi, Dr. Noura Al Marzouqi, and Fatima Al Shehhi. Also in attendance were officials from government and private entities that partner with AJBWC, along with experts and consultants in the field of entrepreneurship, businesswomen, and holders of Bidayat licenses who are members of AJBWC. At the outset of the retreat, Dr. Khalifa welcomed the attendees and emphasized the strategic importance of the retreat for AJBWC, describing it as an inspiring platform for the exchange of ideas and for shaping a brighter and more empowering future for Emirati women in the business sector. She praised AJBWC’s achievements, initiatives, projects, and active participation since its establishment, all of which have significantly contributed to supporting and empowering businesswomen in the Emirate. “AJBWC has worked since its founding to serve as a true incubator for women-led enterprises—a platform for connection and knowledge-sharing, and a source of support for women at every stage of their business journey, from launch to growth and expansion,” Dr. Khalifa said. This has been achieved through the launch of various support programs and initiatives, the enhancement of participation in local and international exhibitions, and the expansion of membership to include diverse groups and economic sectors, in alignment with the vision of Ajman Chamber and the Emirate’s economic development goals, as well as through the building of strategic partnerships with institutions supporting women and entrepreneurship at both local and federal levels. She added: “The Masaa” Retreat holds particular importance in identifying strengths and challenges, anticipating opportunities, and outlining AJBWC’s direction in a manner aligned with the Ajman Vision 2030, which in turn contributes to cementing the role of Emirati women as active contributors to the economy and society.” Dr. Khalifa extended her gratitude to all supporting entities, success partners, and every AJBWC member who contributed with her ideas and experience.
