Ajman Chamber Organizes ‘Economic Diplomacy Majlis’ At Expo 2020 Dubai To Explore Prospects Of Collaboration And Partnership

“The Emirate of Ajman is committed to strengthening its collaboration with countries around the world, in line with our leadership’s directives to expand foreign trade, highlight investment opportunities in Ajman, and explore prospects abroad,” asserted His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of Business and Investment Development at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the ‘Economic Diplomacy Majlis’, organised by the Chamber at Expo 2020 Dubai. “Ajman Chamber and all government entities involved in economic matters in the emirate are dedicated to collaborating with embassies, consulates, attachés, and trade offices,” H.E. Al Janahi added. The Majlis was attended by ambassadors, consuls, and Ajman Government officials to communicate with countries taking part in Expo 2020, exchange ideas and views to accomplish common goals, and explore prospects for joining international economic and future-focused events. Also attending the event was H.E. Engineer Ali Abdulla bin Towaih Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Ajman Free Zone, and H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of the Ajman Tourism Development Department. “Expo 2020 Dubai is a starting point for an era of economic recovery across all sectors, beginning right here in the UAE – a country that firmly believes in collaboration as a means to ensure prosperity for everyone and that embraces tolerance as a way of life,” H.E. Al Janahi explained, noting that the Expo is a microcosm of the UAE, which is now home to people from 200 different nationalities, languages, and cultures. “Diplomats and officials play a leading role in driving global economic growth through partnerships and more frequent meetings and events to strengthen collaboration and expand commercial trade,” H.E. continued, noting that Ajman is committed to providing the necessary facilities to current and potential investors. “The emirate stands out in many fields, particularly the industrial sector, where Ajman is home to nearly 1,000 factories, as well as real estate, construction, wholesale and retail, and a promising tourism sector with advanced infrastructure,” he added. Entities taking part in the event discussed ways to expand their networks, create new markets, and increase trade volumes. They explored the emirate’s economic advantages, as well as the opportunities Ajman has to offer and prospects for participating in exhibitions abroad in the future. Attendees stressed the importance of the ‘Economic Diplomacy Council’ and its role in providing a prominent platform to discuss opportunities for increasing economic cooperation in the future, developing relations, and exchanging visions and ideas to achieve common goals.
