Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) issued during the first half of this year (H1 2022) 19,008 certificates of origin, compared to 16,768 certificates during H1 2021, with a growth rate of 13%. The value of certificates of origin during H1 2022 amounted to more than AED 4.3 billion, compared to AED 4.1 billion during H1 2021 with a growth rate of 5%. H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, the Chairman of ACCI, stated that the growth in the number and values of certificates of origin since the beginning of this year reflects the successive development updates across the economic sector in the emirate and proves the growth of the business of commercial and industrial establishments, explaining that Ajman possesses many supporting potentials that contribute directly to the growth of the volume of export and re-export, including the development of the infrastructure and the road network, the flexibility of licenses, and the availability of logistics services, in addition to the ease and speed of handling in the port of Ajman. He revealed that the most prominent export and re-export countries are topped by the State of Libya, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then the Arab Republic of Egypt, explaining that the products of "oils, mineral fuels, fish and seafood, ships, boats, essential oils, and other products" come on the list of the most exported products from Ajman. Al Muwaiji stressed that the Ajman Chamber is keen to diversify service channels and provide fast and flexible services aimed at enhancing the sustainability and growth of the business community, anticipating and creating the future of business, and enhancing competitiveness and leadership capabilities, explaining that the service of certificate of origin request is available through the ACCI’s website or visiting the service center in its headquarters. As part of its efforts to increase the volume of exports, the ACCI has issued a set of commercial opportunities reports to its members, traders, and industrial business owners, to identify the export opportunities available in global markets, which contributes to increasing local production and the growth of the volume of exports. The reports provide data and information on commercial opportunities and available export opportunities and the possibility of taking advantage of them, so that each report separately includes an overview of the target country, trade data between the UAE and those countries, the most important exported products, their growth rates and an estimate of the potential of untapped trade, through the ACCI’s website www.ajmanchamber.ae in both Arabic and English. This contributes to the "10x10" Program - the economic program for the development of the country's exports, targeting 10 global markets and an annual increase of 10% in exports to these markets.
