H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), praised the successive developments and the comprehensive development renaissance that the country has witnessed since the beginning of the announcement of union, as the UAE embodies an inspiring global model for the countries of the world through which it was able, with an insightful vision from its wise leadership and a systematic development plan, to be unique with distinct potentials that support the continuous growth of all sectors, including integrated infrastructure and services, ports, road networks, and energy, which adopt the highest international standards. The country is also distinguished by an exceptional educational system that provided it with national human cadres equipped with science and knowledge, in addition to a comprehensive health system, to continue the journey and preserve its gains. He also extended congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the 51st National Day, to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may Allah protect him, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah protect him, and H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ruler of the Emirate of Ajman and a member of the UAE Supreme Council, "may Allah protect him" and their brothers, the Rulers of the Emirates, and to H.H Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and the Crown Princes, on the occasion of the 51st National Day. This came during the work of the fourth meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber for the year 2022 at the Ajman Center for Entrepreneurship, in the presence of His Excellency Hamad bin Rashid Al Nuaimi - First Deputy, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi - Second Deputy, members of the Board of Directors and His Excellency Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber. H.E. Al Muwaji affirmed that H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the 3rd edition of the “World’s Coolest Winter” campaign, under the slogan "Our Heritage", during the UAE Cabinet extraordinary meeting, which was held in Al Zorah Natural Reserve in Ajman. This reflects the strength of the tourism sector in Ajman and the emirate's status as an attractive tourist destination having a wide range of tourist sites and unique elements that support tourism activity, including infrastructure, hotel facilities, and the momentum of establishments operating in the fields of hospitality, entertainment, retail, shopping, and other elements. He praised the appreciation of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, about the tourism, economic, and urban shift taking place in Ajman under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. The ACCI Chairman appreciated the importance of the “World’s Coolest Winter” campaign in highlighting the tourist, entertainment, and cultural attractions of all UAE emirates, and the success of the previous two sessions of the campaign in the growth of tourism activity revenues and strengthening the UAE's position on the international tourism map, explaining that the “World’s Coolest Winter” campaigns come within the federal government' efforts to raise the contribution of the tourism sector to the GDP to AED 450 billion by 2031. He continued, "The UAE has become a beacon for many countries in the world seeking development and leadership. The state's excellent government services, practices, and initiatives that adopt the best international standards serve as an inspiration and a roadmap for many countries of the world." He stressed that the pace of the UAE economic development is proceeding at a steady pace and according to clear methodology that relies on innovation-based performance, as he praised the launch of the integrated national platform for investment in vital sectors such as financial technology, tourism, manufacturing, renewable energy, and others, with the aim of highlighting the most prominent investment opportunities available and attracting investors, in addition to adopting the national building regulations to ensure sustainability, during the Cabinet meeting that was held recently in Ajman, explaining that the national projects and innovative and unprecedented initiatives proposed by the wise leadership aim to double the size of the national economy to AED 3 trillion during the year 2030. H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji added, "Ajman Chamber is keen on keeping pace with the UAE directions within the plan to implement its projects and initiatives. It also seeks continuously to develop the industrial sector in the emirate and increase its annual investments, as the industrial sector contributed about 19.7% of the Ajman GDP during the year 2020." He also called on business owners and investors to take advantage of the UAE directions in using clean energy and relying on it in various sectors, with a view to saving resources, preserving the environment, and reducing its production costs. The meeting dealt with the minutes of the 3rd meeting of the Board of Directors for the year 2022, its approval, and review of the recommendations of the Human and Financial Resources Committee, as well as the financial position of the Chamber until the end of November 2022. The Board of Directors also approved the Ajman Chamber’s estimated budget for the year 2023, and discussed the proposed plan to perform its work, projects, and initiatives during the coming period. The Board of Directors reviewed the work plan of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX 2023) in its the 10th edition, the importance of the exhibition and its role in providing an annual platform to enhance communication and partnership between higher education institutions inside and outside the country, and an important channel for communication between students and higher education institutions and monitoring developments in compatible academic disciplines from the labor markets. The Board members stressed that the Ajman Chamber should continue to organize specialized exhibitions and launch innovative initiatives that support the sustainability and growth of its members establishments, increase the attractiveness of the business environment in the emirate, and attract direct investments.
