H E Eng. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), received H E Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the UAE, to discuss joint economic cooperation and the consolidation of bilateral relations in support of increasing the volume of inter-trade, and to monitor available investment opportunities in the industry, trade, tourism and education sectors. The meeting was attended at the ACCI's headquarters by H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi - Second Vice Chairman of the ACCI, and Mohamed Ali Al Janahi, Acting Director-General of the ACCI. At the beginning of the meeting, H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji welcomed the attendees, praised the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the UAE and Pakistan at the leadership and people levels, and stressed the importance of this meeting to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership between Ajman and the Republic of Pakistan in many sectors, explaining that the ACCI is keen to consolidate its external relations to ensure leading awareness efforts and partnerships to achieve sustainable future growth for Ajman's economy The ACCI reviewed the advantages and investment opportunities in Ajman, in the following sectors: "industry, trade, construction and building, real estate, tourism, education, health, transportation, services and infrastructure and other sectors", in addition to the efforts made to provide an economic climate characterized by flexibility and speedy completion of transactions, and an overview of the most prominent exhibitions and events organized by the ACCI was presented. For his part, H E Faisal Niaz Tirmizi praised the development renaissance in Ajman, and stressed the need to exchange delegations and visits to learn about the available opportunities in all fields, explaining that the economic components and opportunities available in both Pakistan and Ajman would open new horizons to increase the volume of inter-trade. and joint cooperation. Statistics indicate the importance of intensifying joint cooperation and taking advantage of the opportunities and components available to the two countries, so that the total trade between the UAE and Pakistan reached 19.7 billion AED in 2021, with a growth rate of 23% compared to 2020, and the growth rate of the volume of trade reached 30. %. between Ajman and Pakistan during the last five years The meeting recommended the importance of intensifying cooperation in the education sector and discussing educational investment opportunities in Ajman, especially in light of the geographical mediation of Ajman between the UAE emirates and its attraction to a large proportion of the Pakistani community, in addition to the keenness and interest of the Ajman government in the development of investments in the educational sector. The attendees also recommended the need to diversify communication channels between the two parties and the continuity of intensifying joint and specialized meetings between business owners from the two countries to discuss partnership and cooperation, monitor investment opportunities and review best practices. The meeting emphasized the need for permanent coordination between the ACCI and the Embassy of Pakistan to enhance participation in the exhibitions organized in the two countries, especially since the exhibition industry represents one of the important channels for developing investments and increasing cooperation between investors and business owners. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields and souvenirs between H E Abdullah Al Muwaiji and H E Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.
