Construction And Building Sector Working Group Is Finding Ways To Keep The Sector Competitive And Sustainable,

H.E. Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salmeen Al Aryani, board member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), chaired the meeting of the construction and building sector working group to discuss the current position of the sector and its future, and monitor potential challenges, and develop suitable solutions for them, in support of the sector competitiveness, the ease of doing business, and provision of an economic environment supporting business development and sustainability. The meeting was attended by H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Ajman Chamber, Nasser Al Dhafri, Executive Director of the Member Support and Innovation Sector, and Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Relations and Members Support Office at Ajman Chamber in addition to Ajman Chamber partners from the concerned government agencies and establishments operating in the construction and building sector in Ajman. At the beginning of the meeting held at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber, H.E. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Aryani welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of the role of the construction and building sector working group in providing a platform for exchanging visions and proposals and direct communication between the owners of establishments operating in the sector and the concerned government authorities, which supports the development of the construction and building sector in Ajman and enhances the ease of doing business, as the sector is one of the most important sectors in the Ajman economy. He explained that the Ajman Chamber aims, through the construction building and working group as well as its sub-working groups in general, to monitor the aspirations of the business community, provide proactive services that exceed customer expectations, and establish a participatory approach that ensures the development of flexible future policies and strategies that enhance the contribution of various sectors to increasing Ajman GDP. The meeting dealt with the most important challenges facing the construction and building sector and ways to address them in cooperation with the concerned authorities. The meeting also concluded with a number of recommendations and proposals supporting the development and sustainability of the construction and building sector. The attendees stressed the need to hold periodic meetings in the presence of representatives of the sector's establishments and government authorities, as the working group provides a supportive tool for the development and growth of the sector businesses in the emirate and overcoming any potential obstacles in order to support the ease of doing business and the development of the Ajman economy.
