Ajman Chamber Participates In The 5th Session Of The Joint Economic Committee Between The Uae And Uzbekistan

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) participated as part of the UAE delegation in the work of the 5th session of the Joint Economic Committee between the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The UAE delegation was headed by H.E. Abdullah bin Touk Al Marri, Minister of Economy, in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, in the presence of H.E. Laziz Kudratov, the Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade. The Ajman Chamber was represented by H.E. Maher Tarish Al Alili, Member of the Board of Directors. During the session, the attendees focused on discussing a wide range of key sectors with a view to enhancing joint cooperation, most notably the sectors of “trade and investment, tourism, renewable energy, agriculture and food security, logistics services, entrepreneurship and small and medium companies.” . Al Alili stressed the importance of the Ajman Chamber’s participation in the work of the 5th session of the Joint Economic Committee between the UAE and Uzbekistan to discuss economic cooperation and discover and develop direct investment opportunities between the two countries. He explained that the sessions, discussions, and recommendations that the session witnessed in the presence of government officials and businessmen from both sides will have an essential role in charting the paths and features of economic cooperation between the two countries during the coming period. He also stressed that the Ajman Chamber was keen during the participation to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of developing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through business incubators. The Ajman Chamber also reviewed its efforts in providing a sustainable business incubator through the Ajman Center for Entrepreneurship that adopts the latest tools and means of supporting projects. The Ajman Chamber also discussed ways of cooperation in the tourism field and benefiting from the capabilities available in the two countries.
