H. E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Ajman Chamber, welcomed H. E. Hussain Mohammed, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to discuss enhancing joint cooperation, strengthening bilateral relations, expanding inter-trade volumes, and boosting mutual investment opportunities in manufacturing, agriculture, and renewable energy sectors. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber, with the attendance of Ali Rashid Al Kaitoob, Executive Director of the Studies and Investment Development Sector at the Ajman Chamber, and Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor at the Consulate of Pakistan. At the meeting's outset, H. E. Salem Al Suwaidi greeted the participants and emphasized the strong ties and friendship between the UAE and Pakistan. He highlighted the significance of the meeting in establishing a direct communication channel to explore joint cooperation opportunities between Ajman and Pakistan and to identify investment prospects that support the Ajman Chamber's strategic objectives. These objectives include boosting the emirate's competitiveness and attracting investments. Notably, the Ajman Chamber's Pakistani membership grew to 4,194 in 2023, with their business activities concentrated in retail trade, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality and hospitality services. The Ajman Chamber discussed a range of benefits and services offered by the emirate to entrepreneurs and investors, along with available opportunities in various sectors such as industry, trade, tourism, construction, real estate, education, health, and services. Additionally, the delegation received information on key exhibitions and events hosted by the Ajman Chamber, as well as participation opportunities for the Pakistani representatives. The meeting focused on exploring collaborative opportunities across various sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, and the integration of modern technologies and renewable energy. The participants emphasized the importance of organizing forums and establishing direct communication between entrepreneurs and experts from governmental bodies in Ajman and Pakistan to exchange best practices and foster partnerships and cooperation. H. E. Hussain Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the Ajman Chamber for their hospitality and commended the wide range of investment opportunities offered by the Emirate of Ajman, as well as the favorable business environment that facilitates commercial activities. Furthermore, he highlighted the various opportunities present in Pakistan, especially in the textile, clothing industry, and agricultural sectors. He emphasized the role of exhibitions in enhancing collaboration and expanding trade between the two nations. He extended an invitation to the Ajman Chamber to join the upcoming Textiles, Fabrics, and Clothing Industry Exhibition in Karachi this October. He described the event as a global platform for showcasing the newest innovations and technologies in the textile sector, paving the way for new cooperative ventures between clothing companies and manufacturers in both countries. At the conclusion of the meeting, H. E. Salem Al Suwaidi and H. E. Hussein Mohammed exchanged commemorative shields and souvenirs.
