H.E. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, met with a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership in several fields, including education, health, tourism, industry, trade, entrepreneurship, and the empowerment of businesswomen, among others. He also shed light on the investment opportunities available in Ajman, the Al Batinah North Governorate, and the Al Buraimi Governorate. The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Amna Khalifa, Board Member of the Ajman Chamber and Chairperson of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC), H.E. Marwan Hussein Al Shaali, and H.E. Mahmoud Othman Al Shawareb, Members of the Board of Directors of Ajman Chamber, in the Emirates Hospitality Center on the sidelines of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX). The delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) – Al Buraimi Governorate Branch was headed by Zaher bin Mohammed Zaher Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OCCI in Al Buraimi Governorate. The delegation from the OCCI – Al Batinah North Governorate Branch was headed by Eng. Saeed Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OCCI in Al Batinah North Governorate. H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji praised the depth of the brotherly relations at the governmental and popular levels and the comprehensive strategic partnership between both countries. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of the meeting to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation in all fields in a way that enhances sustainable development, supports the development of trade exchange and mutual investments, contributes to accessing best practices and experiences, and strengthens cooperation in the economic and industrial sectors in support of achieving common interests and moving forward the wheel of growth and prosperity. Al Muwaiji highlighted the importance of holding the meeting on the sidelines of the AETEX and discussing educational investment opportunities as the most influential on all sectors and its role in improving the quality of life and the economic sector in general. For his part, Zaher bin Mohammed Zaher Al Kaabi praised the diversity of Gulf and international participation in the AETEX, stressing that the AETEX is an opportunity and a starting point to enhance joint cooperation between Ajman and Al Buraimi in the educational sector, and also pointed to the keenness of the Al Buraimi Chamber to strengthen cooperative relations with the Ajman Chamber in various sectors, including industry, tourism, food security, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and entrepreneurship, among others. Eng. Saeed Ali Al Abri stressed the need to strengthen joint cooperation and exchange available opportunities in all fields, and presented a brief overview of the potential and investment opportunities available in the Al Batinah North Governorate, stressing that the manufacturing sector has qualitative opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two sides in light of the capabilities of both Ajman and Al Batinah North. The attendees highlighted the importance of organizing joint and specialized forums with the presence of officials and business owners from both countries with the aim of discussing prospects for economic and trade cooperation and exploring available investment opportunities.
