Ajman Chamber And Occi (North Al Batinah) Explore Economic Cooperation And Partnership

H.E. Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of Ajman Chamber, received H.E. Eng. Said bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) – North Al Batinah,to explore bilateral cooperation, exchange expertise and best practices, and discuss mechanisms of coordination and participation in major economic events and exhibitions. The meeting, held at the Ajman Chamber headquarters, was attended by H.E. Salem bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, businessman, H.E. Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salmeen Al Aryani, Board Member of the Ajman Chamber, H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, and Ali Rashid Al Kaitoob, Executive Director of the Studies and Investment Development Sector at Ajman Chamber. The Omani delegation included Dr. Ali Salim Al Badi, Head of the Legislation and Laws Study Committee at the OCCI, Al Batinah North Governorate Branch, alongside several officials. At the outset of the meeting, H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji welcomed the attendees, commending the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman at both the leadership and people-to-people levels. He emphasized the continuous development of these ties across various sectors, affirming the Ajman Chamber’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with the OCCI, Al Batinah North Governorate, and the expansion of the scope of joint partnership. Al Muwaiji further confirmed that future cooperation opportunities are diverse and promising, given the competitive economic and investment capabilities, advanced infrastructure, and attractive investment incentives found in several vital sectors. H.E. Eng. Said bin Ali Al Abri extended an invitation to attend and participate in the Suhar Investment Forum 2026, scheduled for February 4–5, 2026, in Al Batinah North Governorate. The forum aims to strengthen institutional partnerships, open direct communication channels between business leaders, promote investment opportunities in Ajman, and support trade growth. He explained that the forum will showcase extensive opportunities in sectors including "advanced industries, manufacturing, heavy and supporting industries, food production, medical industries, and recycling". Attendees also highlighted the significance of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX) and its vital role as an annual platform bringing together universities and educational institutions from both countries. This fosters strategic partnerships, the exchange of expertise, and academic cooperation to support comprehensive development and human capital building. Furthermore, the Ajman Chamber provided an overview of the "Investment Attraction Working Group" in Ajman, highlighting the key investment opportunities in tourism, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, and recycling sectors. The presentation underscored Ajman's competitive business environment and investment incentives that support project growth and the expansion of both local and foreign investments. The meeting concluded with recommendations on the importance of enhancing integration, partnership, and the exchange of expertise in the fields of franchising and entrepreneurship empowerment. At the end of the meeting, H.E. Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of Ajman Chamber, and H.E. Eng. Said bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of OCCI, exchanged commemorative shields.
