The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has distributed the "Entrepreneurs Directory" to the entrepreneurs and to a number of government and private bodies in Ajman. The bilingual (Arabic-English) directory comes to highlight the pioneering enterprises and to promote them locally through participation in the specialized exhibitions inside and outside the country. Mohammad Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of Promotion and Investment Division-ACCI, stressed the importance of the directory and its role in highlighting the pioneering enterprises in the emirate and shedding the light on the most attracting fields to entrepreneurs. “Entrepreneurship is constantly growing and diversifying, so the directory will play an important role in monitoring it at the local level. The directory will also enhance the prospects for fruitful cooperation between entrepreneurs and the possibility of building partnerships and the future expansion as well,” Al Janahi added. He continued, “The Chamber, under the directives of the Board of Directors, spares no efforts to provide full support to ensure the growth and sustainability of SMEs, to motivate entrepreneurs through field visits, to promote enterprises, to provide technical and administrative advice by experts and specialists, and to organize courses and workshops that enhance their development.” For her part, Jamila Kajoor, Director of the National Business Development Department-ACCI, said that the directory serves as a comprehensive reference for the various enterprises of entrepreneurs, such as cafes, restaurants, flowers and gifts, salons, fashion, sports clubs and others. “The directory provides an overview of each enterprise, including slogan, trade name, owner’s name, establishment date, number of branches, synopsis about products and services, contacts, social media accounts, and a "barcode code" for location,” she added. Kajoor also explained that the Ajman Chamber aims to provide an official channel for the most prominent enterprises in the emirate to promote them locally and internationally. It further seeks to provide opportunities for expansion of these enterprises through "franchising", especially in light of the partnerships provided by the Chamber with houses of expertise in the field of franchising, she added. She also praised the innovative ideas and successful enterprises that Emirati entrepreneurs own, noting that they only need guidance and follow-up to develop into successful franchise brands. Jamila Kajaur called on entrepreneurs to participate in the next edition of the directory by communicating with the National Business Development Department-ACCI, noting that the electronic version will soon be available on the Chamber's website. Moreover, the directory would be distributed to all government departments and during exhibitions in which the Ajman Chamber participates, she added.
