Ajman Csr Organizes A Workshop On The "Importance Of Social Responsibility In Generating Corporate Profits"

The Ajman Center for Social Responsibility (Ajman CSR), an initiative launched by the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has organized a workshop entitled the "Importance of Social Responsibility in Generating Corporate Profits", as part of the Social Responsibility Culture initiative, which aims to organize a series of specialized educational workshops for the private sector, with a view to raising awareness of concepts and applications of the social responsibility and principles of the sustainability and encouraging business owners to launch sustainable social initiatives and adopt best social practices that support the sustainability and growth of business. The workshop was attended by Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of the Ajman CSR, and presented by Kholoud Hendia, a sustainability and social responsibility advisor, in the presence of officials and representatives of the companies and factories. At the beginning of the workshop, Nasser Al Dhafri welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of the workshop and its role in exchanging experiences and highlighting the best practices and methodologies used in the field of social responsibility and their impact on the levels of trust between establishments and society members, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the business of private sector enterprises. He stressed that the field of social responsibility is characterized by development and creativity in the implementation of projects and initiatives. He added, "Projects and initiatives made by the private sector enterprises have a major role in improving the quality of life, increasing sustainable social and economic welfare, preserving resources, and providing added values to members of society." Al Dhafri explained that the Ajman CSR is keen to organize a series of specialized workshops in cooperation with its partners from the concerned authorities in the field of social responsibility and private sector establishments, with a view to creating a platform for developing and innovating initiatives and projects that support the efforts made in the field of social responsibility. The workshop introduced the definitions of social responsibility and the dimensions (economic, legal, humanitarian, and moral dimension) of positive social initiatives on the reputation of the establishments and its reflection on increasing profits and the continuity and sustainability of business and its growth. The workshop also addressed the importance of linking the ability of enterprises to learn and innovate and its impact on the growth of social responsibility contributions. The workshop reviewed the importance and value of social responsibility applications in establishments, the impact of the social role of companies on the growth of profits, how to build social capital, which in turn leads to improving the efficiency of the economic performance of companies, the importance of building relationships and partnerships between the public and private sectors, the role of social responsibility in reducing costs and limiting expenditure of the establishments, the role of social responsibility in achieving community well-being, and mechanisms to encourage institutions to achieve a balance between material profit, community service, and environmental safety. The workshop also presented a number of pioneering models for international companies and brands that adopt the concept of social responsibility through qualitative initiatives and projects. At the conclusion of the workshop, the attendees recommended the importance of organizing joint workshops and events between the concerned authorities in the field of social responsibility and private sector establishments with a view to exchanging experiences and identifying the best practices of social responsibility and ways to develop existing projects and initiatives.
