Ajman Csr Receives The Sssd Delegation

For promoting the development of a network of sustainable relationships in the field of social responsibility, the Ajman Center for Social Responsibility (Ajman CSR), one of the initiatives of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), received a delegation from the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the two sides, exchange experiences, and learn about best practices and proactive and innovative services in the field of social responsibility. The delegation was received at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber, by Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of the Ajman CSR, in the presence of Aisha Hilal, Director of the Ajman CSR, while the delegation included Hessa Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, and Maryam Mohammed Al Salman, Director of Social Responsibility Projects in the SSSD At the outset of the meeting, Nasser Al Dhafri gave an overview of the Ajman CSR and its strategic plan which is based on two main themes. The first one is to raise awareness and educate the private sector and the community in general about what social responsibility is. The second theme is adopting and implementing community initiatives and projects, in addition to the Ajman CSR's efforts to achieve a sustainable and effective partnership base between the private sector and the government sector, in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development and the emirate's plans that support the quality of life and the happiness of the individual and society. He also explained that Ajman CSR intensifies its projects, activities, and initiatives in cooperation with its strategic partners. During the meeting, the SSSD delegation was also briefed on the tasks and specializations of the Ajman CSR, including "the formation of long-term plans to serve the goals of sustainable development in Ajman, the provision of advisory services to the business sector and other sectors in various fields of sustainability, and the provision of learning resources and opportunities for training and exchange of experiences in accordance with the latest global practices in all areas of sustainability and social responsibility, and coordination between the business sector and other sectors in the emirate to ensure unification of efforts and optimal utilization of resources". Nasser Al Dhafri explained that the efforts and results of the Ajman CSR were reflected in the growth of the percentage of establishments that have activities related to social responsibility in the emirate, as registration of establishments rose from 112 in 2019 to 743 establishments in 2022. The visit reviewed the most prominent projects and initiatives of the Ajman CSR during the previous years and its approved plan for the current and coming years. For her part, Hessa Al Hammadi praised the diversity of projects and initiatives of the Ajman CSR. She also provided an overview of the SSSD vision and mission by providing the means and tools for a society that enjoys prosperity, security, family stability, and social inclusion. The attendees recommended the necessity of discussing opportunities for cooperation in launching joint community initiatives and projects and adopting a work team from both sides to exchange best practices and community initiatives, in addition to exchanging studies and research, the importance of participating in events implemented by one of the parties in the future, and the need for cooperation in Implementing events to raise awareness of sustainability and resource conservation in conjunction with the Year of Sustainability 2023 in the UAE. At the end of the meeting, Nasser Al Dhafri presented the memorial shield of the Ajman Chamber to the SSSD delegation.
